69370 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 to implement ‘health sector agreements and payments system (HSAAP)’ within Te Whatu Ora, under the Health system reform roadmap - Data and digital?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Hospital Pharmaceutical Claims were moved from the legacy system, enabling payments to be made by the HSAAP solution. In addition to reducing risk, HSAAP’s new claim determination documents provide a clear and consistent way of presenting payment information, including accepted and rejected claims. This has resulted in a reduction of time spent managing queries on errors from hospital pharmacies.
