Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 14-18 October 2024: • Meeting with Ministers and the Independent Reference Group on the adaptation framework, 14 October 2024 • Review of policy for financial support to local authorities after an emergency, 15 October 2024 • Recommendations for allocating the remaining Cyclone Recovery Capability Funding, 15 October 2024 • Meeting with Federated Farmers, 15 October 2024 • NEMA Fortnightly Status Report to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, 18 October 2024. I received one document on 15 October 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the title of this document. In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister I have received the following document: North Island Weather Events: Weekly Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris, 17 October 2024. Additionally, jointly with the Minister of Local Government, I received the following briefing from NEMA and DIA officials: Options for reinstating on-island monitoring on Whakaari/White Island, 17 October 2024. I also received from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet the following report: Vote Prime Minister and Cabinet October Baseline Update 2024: Additional Information, 17 October 2024. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
