68169 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Further to WPQ 5644, what progress, if any, has been made in the quarter (April to June 2024) on health promotion work programmes concerning 'Immunisation'?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand made the following progress: • Campaign for shingles vaccines ran in May. • Childhood immunisations social marketing campaign continued. • Social marketing campaigns for flu and for Covid-19 commenced in April. • Development of Māori and Pacific community action initiatives concurrently driving flu, Covid-19, and childhood immunisation continues to be rolled out via Hauora Māori partners and community /voluntary organisations. • A qualitative and quantitative research study into flu commenced with a focus on identifying key insights to inform the strategic development.
