68162 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 to ‘Build a platform with Whaikaha/Ministry of Disabled People to include Tāngata whaikaha/ Disabled people voices in the design, delivery and performance of the health system’ under section 1.1 ‘Valuing the voices of consumers and whanau’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand's Disability Health team commissioned an investigation involving disabled people and whānau to understand how Health NZ could best engage with disabled people to ensure their voices are heard and applied in the design, delivery, and performance of the health system.
