68125 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter April to June 2024 to implement the recommendation ‘Establish ongoing weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting covering at least volume of planned care provision, number of overdue cases by time cohorts on waiting lists for planned care (including Diagnostics, FSA, Treatment follow up) by specialty, ethnicity and district.’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand continued to develop a national Rapid operational data set, which enables weekly and monthly reporting of planned care waiting lists by time cohorts.
I am further advised that reporting on diagnostics, FSA, and elective treatments are core component of regional and national performance frameworks. Rapid national datasets continued to support work to report on the Health Targets.
