68034 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: What was the nature of the engagements, if he has had any, with Sanford Limited?

Hon Shane Jones: I have engaged with Sanford Limited as per the following: - Received a letter from Sanford Limited on 8 February 2024 about Project East, no response was sent. - Attended a seafood sector visit in Nelson on 14 May 2024, which included a visit to SpatNZ Mussel spat hatchery - Met with the Seafood Industry Forum (which includes Sanford representatives on 19 February 2024, 4 June 2024 and 27 August 2024 to discuss opportunities for growth in the commercial fishing sector.
