68018 (2024). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister of Transport: How much money has been spent annually on the Mount Messenger Bypass Project each year since the project began, including any spent in this financial year?

Hon Simeon Brown: Construction is underway on the Mt Messenger Bypass Project. As I have previously said, I am disappointed that this project has been continuously delayed by court action. The Government is currently reviewing the Public Works Act to ensure that it balances the public benefit of quicker infrastructure delivery that reduces costs, while ensuring property rights and natural justice are maintained.
