68001 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Associate Minister of Education: Does the Minister agree with Chris Taylor when he said the figures for the Ka Ora, Ka Ako, Healthy School lunch programme didn't add up; if not, why not?

Hon David Seymour: No. I welcome the Member’s belated interest in the numbers. If the school lunch programme had been set up in this way, over $850 million could have been saved. That would be additional debt today’s students wouldn’t have to pay off as adults.
