67995 (2024). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister of Transport: Which, if any, stakeholders and/ or road safety experts were involved in the development of the Road Safety Objectives?

Hon Simeon Brown: The Government Policy Statement (GPS) on land transport 2024 guided the development of the road safety objectives. Through the consultation on the GPS, over 2,000 submissions were received. The Ministry of Transport drew on those submissions and engagement with the NZ Transport Agency, NZ Police and Accident Compensation Corporation.
