Hon Paul Goldsmith: My office receives many invitations to events and meetings. As per Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to undertake an exercise to identify and collate the material requested, as it will require a diversion of resources that will interfere with the operation of my office. Further, it is nonsensical to provide a location, description and a list of attendees for meetings or events which have not occurred. A list of events and meetings I attend is publicly available on the beehive.govt.nz website.
