67947 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Housing: Further to Reply 64767 (2024), what is the Minister’s explanation, if any, for not progressing 69 social housing developments during a housing crisis?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that these projects have been put through its assessment process and a decision has been made to not progress with them as originally planned. These development projects need to be re-designed to improve value for money. Alternatives to development are using the home as is, renovating the home, or selling it and replacing it with a new home elsewhere.
