67938 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Housing: What programmes or investment will the $435m, cut from Kainga Ora’s house-build programme, be assigned to, if at all?

Hon Chris Bishop: Budget 2024 reduced funding for the Large-Scale Projects by $435 million. Savings were made up of $200 million operating expenditure and $235 million in capital expenditure across the programme and is not for a specific project or infrastructure investment. Kainga Ora has rescoped the overall programme to be within the new funding envelope.
