67843 (2024). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: Which, if any, commercial fishers (including quota owners, ACE fishers, or other entities), has the Minister discussed the Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana Marine Protection Bill with?

Hon Shane Jones: The Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana Marine Protection Bill is of high interest to fisheries stakeholders, and it has been raised with me many times at meetings, events and visits since I became Minister for Oceans and Fisheries. Given the considerable resources required to identify every person I have discussed the Bill with, I do not believe it is in the public interest to collate this information.
