67799 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Immigration: Will Immigration New Zealand take the special circumstances of people in Lebanon at risk by Israeli attacks into account in considering visa applications as it is reported to do in respect of Palestinians in Gaza?
Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that Immigration New Zealand is prioritising applications from people who are in Lebanon and all decisions are being reviewed by their Operations Support team for consistency. However, like visa applications from Palestinians in Gaza, all applicants are still subject to the usual requirements for the category they are applying under.
