67745 (2024). Lan Pham to the Minister for Biosecurity: What proof, if any, does the Minister have that changes to the Biosecurity Act will "deliver better value for money and enable more comprehensive management of risk from the same resources"?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I announced public consultation on proposed changes to the Biosecurity Act on the 19th of September. I look forward to feedback across different sectors, communities and the public on how the proposals will lift biosecurity system performance. Once public consultation closes, final policy proposals will be informed by cost benefit analysis as well as evidence collected during consultation.
