Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 toward the outcome ‘Support a nationally coordinated research agenda’ under ‘Focus area three: Kōkiri Ngātahi System readiness and change’ within the Rheumatic Fever Roadmap?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, the agenda was confirmed for the National Rheumatic Fever Sector Symposium (held on 23-24 July). The agenda included an update to the sector on clinical research for rheumatic fever, including future opportunities. I am further advised that during the quarter engagement began with the Public Health Agency on supporting a nationally coordinated research agenda.
