Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 toward the delivery of ‘A secure, carefully controlled digital ecosystem enabling vendors to build apps for healthcare consumers, whānau and providers, to help people manage their own health’ within Hira tranche one?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand completed the key capabilities to enable a secure, controlled digital ecosystem that allowed vendors to build apps for healthcare consumers, whānau, and providers, to help people manage their own health. I have directed Health NZ to provide me with a 10 Year Infrastructure Investment Plan which will guide further digital investment.
