66557 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter April to June 2024 to implement the recommendation ‘Consider if review of whether long waiting patients is required to determine if FSA is still required’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand’s districts have made good progress in validating FSA waitlists. I am further advised that at the end of June, regions had contacted over 24,000 patients in four high-volume specialties. Districts are now embedding patient communications and data validation as BAU.
