66548 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter April to June 2024 to implement the recommendation ‘Work with PHARMAC on potential new ophthalmic drugs’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that no work on this recommendation was undertaken during the April to June 2024 quarter. However, I am further advised that in July, Health New Zealand worked with Pharmac to provide advice on first and second line ophthalmic drugs for retinal vein occlusions, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.
