66541 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter April to June 2024 to implement the recommendation ‘Waiting times need to be accurately measured and reported both at District and Regional level and assessed nationally by Te Whatu Ora’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand developed the capability to report average and 95th percentile waiting times by clinical urgency (i.e., urgent, semi-urgent, routine) at a specialty, district and regional level. I am further advised that Health NZ continue to develop its national planned care data set, which will include the capability to measure and report on waiting times for planned care.
