Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter April to June 2024 to implement the recommendation ‘Maximum waiting times for dental treatment be introduced and monitored’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand is working to ensure that all patients waiting for treatment are seen within target. Performance against target continues to be monitored at a district and service level, alongside all other ESPI2 and ESPI5 health specialties.
