66532 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter April to June 2024 to implement the recommendation ‘Improve overall theatre capacity and utilisation within the public system’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that each district has included improved theatre utilisation and productivity within their Health Target implementation plans. This includes focusing on reducing cancellations; improving utilisation of theatres, and reducing late starts and early finishes for elective surgical lists. I also refer the Member to my response to Written Parliamentary Question 66530 (2024).
