66524 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter April to June 2024 to implement the recommendation ‘Consideration of the value of further follow-up each time a patient is seen in clinic – oversight of this should be provided by SMOs’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, the ability to report nationally on Follow-Up to FSA ratios at a service and district level was introduced to support senior clinicians with evidence-based decisions. I am further advised SMOs continue to provide leadership when considering follow-up practices and options.
