66470 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister for Children: How many cases have there been, if any, of abuse between children at the Military-Style Academy pilot?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that there are no children participating in the Military-Style Academy Pilot. Note the Oranga Tamariki Act defines ‘child’ as a person under the age of 14 years. I am further advised by Oranga Tamariki that there have been no instances of harm or abuse between any of the young people participating on the Military-Style Academy Pilot.
