66469 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister for Space: How, if at all, will the United Nations General Assembly resolution "to cease importing products originating from Israeli settlements and to halt the transfer of arms, munitions, and related equipment to Israel in cases where there are reasonable grounds to suspect they may be used in the Occupied Palestinian Territory" affect New Zealand Space policy, and could it prevent NZ's involvement in US military space launch operations?
Hon Judith Collins: Applications for permits and licences (including those from the United States) must meet the requirements of the Outer Space and High-altitude Activities Act 2017, which includes consideration for New Zealand’s international obligations and national interest. National interest is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
