66454 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What changes have been seen, if any, to playing and participation in Class 4 gambling since the Class 4 rules were amended in 2022?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs that it does not hold data on participation, and that data on gambling behaviour from the relevant Ministry of Health surveys does not align to the period in question. The rolling 12-month total for Gaming Machine Profits decreased by 0.65 percent between June 2023, when the regulations came into force, and June 2024.
