66399 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: When the Minister appointed Dr Stephen Rainbow as Chief Human Rights Commissioner what weight did he give the view of the assessment panel of a retired Supreme Court Judge, a former Attorney General, a King's Council and an Iwi Chair Forum Representative which assessed him as "not recommended" (meaning not meeting sufficient appointment criteria to be a viable appointment)?
Hon Paul Goldsmith: I reject the assertion that Dr Stephen Rainbow is not a viable appointment.
