66396 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 39598 (2024), of the ten participants on the Oranga Tamariki pilot military-style academy, how many of them have had their mentor meet with their family, if any, and how many times per family, if any?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that all of the young people’s families have had contact with their respective mentor at least once. Most of this engagement has been by phone, but eight out of the ten whānau have also had an in-person meeting. I am further advised that the number of meetings for each whānau was not captured.
