Hon Andrew Bayly: I have: • required central government departments to publicly report their payment times on a quarterly basis • worked with the Minister for Economic Development on a new Government Procurement Rule that will require government agencies to pay their bills faster, and (as above) to make their payment times transparent • encouraged BusinessNZ to progress a voluntary commitment on payment times for the private sector • worked with a wide range of NZ businesses to encourage use of eInvoicing, which helps move money around the economy faster, and enables faster payments, by removing the need to email and manually process PDF invoices.
