66353 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How many schools, if any, have completed evaluation forms of the Get Firewise programme after it has been delivered in their schools?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised by Fire and Emergency New Zealand (Fire and Emergency) that it is trialling a survey response form to help understand what teachers think of the Get Firewise programme and service, and to give some insights on the learning achievements of students after completing the programme. This trial will enable Fire and Emergency to evaluate feedback and test its dashboard tools. The full survey platform is due to go live in November 2024. As at 14 October 2024, 72 schools had participated, with 131 teacher responses concerning the experiences of 5,543 students in the Get Firewise programme.
