Rt Hon Winston Peters: No case has been initiated at the International Court of Justice. The Government will continue to monitor developments as partners engage with the procedures under the convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). New Zealand remains gravely concerned by the human rights situation in Afghanistan and has supported efforts, in a range of fora, to address the Taliban’s human rights violations committed against women and girls.
