66227 (2024). Hon Peeni Henare to the Associate Minister of Transport: Does the sinking of the HMNZS Manawanui compromise the safety surrounding any potential oil spills in New Zealand?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that Maritime New Zealand is deploying some personnel and assets to support the response to the HMNZS Manawanui incident. I am further advised that this does not compromise New Zealand’s ability respond to a domestic oil spill incident.
