Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that Education Payroll follows a standard process that has been agreed with the Ministry of Education. The process involves: • receiving information on the nature of the dispute from the employee • investigating the dispute with the school • confirming instructions or requesting clarification on recovering the overpayment with the school • providing the employee with the findings of the investigation. If the dispute leads to a change, Education Payroll will recalculate the overpayment to take into account new information or instructions. They then refer the overpayment dispute to the school and the Ministry of Education for a decision on next steps.
