66111 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Does the Minister expect the expenditure of the Ministry on consultants to be greater in the 2023/24 year than that spent in the 2022/23 year; if so why?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Ministry’s expenditure on consultants in 2023/24 was 4.3% lower than in 2022/23. I am further advised that this is due to the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to reduce consultant related expenditure.
