Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 30 September – 4 October 2024 (inclusive): • Briefing: Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, 2 October 2024 • NEMA Fortnightly Status Report to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, 4 October 2024. In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister, I received the following document on 3 October 2024: • North Island Weather Events: Weekly Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris. I also received from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet the following document within the specific time frame: • Aide- Memoire: Summary of National Iwi Chairs Forum Advice on the NISWE Inquiry and Emergency Management System Reform, 1 October 2024. I also received two documents within the timeframe that it is not in the public interest to release the titles of.
