65371 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 30 September 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents from 30 September – 4 October 2024 from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC): • New Zealand Bravery Awards 2024: informal approval, 3 October 2024 • 2024 October Baseline Update, 4 October 2024 • Quarterly Three Plan - Final Progress Report, 4 October 2024 • Prime Minister’s Weekly Brief, 4 October 2024. I also received eight documents in the specified timeframe however, it is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents. In addition, jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I have received the following document: • North Island Weather Events: Weekly Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris, 3 October 2024. I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings. Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
