64860 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter (April to June 2024) to implement the recommendation ‘Review the ongoing requirements for national data governance and data quality management systems to provide assurance of the quality and completeness of national collections data’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand established a district and service level national performance monitoring framework. This includes surgical performance such as theatre utilisation, FSA, treatment, and diagnostics. I am further advised that ongoing development of national data sets occurred during the quarter, including the capability to report performance by ethnicity, rurality, and deprivation. This work will continue throughout 2024/25. I also refer the Member to Written Parliamentary Question 64858 (2024).
