Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter (April to June 2024) to implement the recommendation ‘Establish a mechanism that provides visibility of compliance with national collections requirements, and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in data quality’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that a mechanism to provide visibility of compliance has been established. I am further advised that Health New Zealand's national collections team continues to work weekly with each district to ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and to fix any issues at source as part of a continuous improvement cycle. Health NZ continues to maintain a focus on data quality though utilisation of the national planned care dashboard.
