64842 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Is it correct that Health New Zealand has a $2b savings target for the 2024/25 financial year, and if so, why?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the $2bn savings target is an aspirational amount that Health New Zealand has set in order to achieve the level of savings required to return to a fiscally neutral position over the next two years.
