64806 (2024). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister of Transport: Were AI tools tried, tested, or used at all to analyse submissions on the draft Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speeds 2024, and if so, was the use of these tools successful, and what software was used?

Hon Simeon Brown: The Ministry of Transport tested the use of Co-Pilot to assess how it could be used to provide high level analysis of submissions. This did not replace analysis by people. The individual analysis was undertaken by staff at the Ministry of Transport and the NZTA.
