64796 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: In response to Reply 62367, how many, if any, Charter School applications were progressed to Stage 2 by the Charter School Agency, listed by the number of applications progressed and to what stage of the application process?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Charter School Agency (the Agency) that of the 78 applications assessed in stage one, 32 sponsors received a letter which stated that the Agency were recommending that they advance to the next stage (stage two) in the application process. Only the Authorisation Board can approve charter school sponsors or confirm which applications should progress through the application process.
