64750 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: How many times, if any, has a Minister lodged a cabinet paper directly to Cabinet without that paper first going to a Cabinet Committee, since 28 November 2023?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the Responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. I am advised that approximately 87 papers have been lodged directly to Cabinet during this period. This includes papers that were initially lodged for consideration by a Cabinet committee and were subsequently moved to go directly to Cabinet. This number does not include travel papers which are always lodged for consideration by Cabinet.
