64606 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: Did the Minister and/or the Ministry of Education consult with Te Taura Whiri, iwi, hapū or Māori education organisations regarding the $30m cut from Te Ahu o te reo Māori programme; if not, why not?

Hon Erica Stanford: No. The funding of specific programmes is a matter for the government. I note that Te Reo Māori courses remain available from a range of providers.
