63987 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Land Information: What is the average salary of staff at any ministries, departments and agencies for which the minister is responsible, as at 1 October 2024?

Hon Chris Penk: I have been advised by Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) are unable to provide data as at 1 October 2024 due to reporting timelines. However, I understand that as at 30 September 2024 the average salary for LINZ staff was $118,738.98. This data is inclusive of employees in Open or Fixed Term positions, on secondment or in acting occupancies. Excluded from this data are contractors, vendor support staff, the Chief Executive and those on extended leave. The data provided also excludes salary sacrifices and allowances.
