63971 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Education: What is the average salary of staff at any ministries, departments and agencies for which the minister is responsible, as at 1 October 2024?

Hon Erica Stanford: I have been advised that as at 31 August 2024 (latest available validated data), the average (mean) full time equivalent (FTE) annual salary of Ministry of Education staff is $113,246. As at 1 October 2024, the average FTE salary for NZQA staff is $112,582. As at 1 October 2024 that the average salary of staff at ERO is $112,096.
