63929 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister or any member of their Office received, if any, during the week beginning 26 August 2024, by title and date?
Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio.
I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 26-30 August 2024 (inclusive):
• Meeting with AA Insurance, 27 August 2024
• Meeting with Tower Insurance, 27 August 2024
• Cyclone Recovery in Te Tairāwhiti (Aide-Mémoire to support Min McClay in Tairāwhiti), 27 August 2024
• Approval to change scope of Gisborne District Council’s Resilient Homes - Elevating Tairāwhiti initiative, 28 August 2024
• Cyclone Recovery Capability Funding approval for Crown Manager expenses, 28 August 2024
• Cyclone Recovery Unit Fortnightly Report, 30 August 2024
• Briefing: Publicity expenditure over $150k for FY2024/25, 30 August 2024.
I also received from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet the following documents within the specific time frame:
• Updated Draft Cabinet Paper and NISWE Response, 30 August 2024
• Approval for Non-Departmental Appropriations Report and Draft Annual Report Review, 30 August 2024.
In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister, I received the following document:
North Island Weather Events: Monthly Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, Infrastructure and Local Transport Project, 29 August 2024.
Finally, I received three documents on 26 August and one document on 30 August 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents.
