63880 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister for Children: What evaluations have been undertaken, if any, on the military-style academies, and what did these evaluations say was the impact of the academies on the children participating?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that the Oranga Tamariki Social Impact and Research team have overseen evaluation activities throughout the Military-Style Academy Pilot. They have been working in partnership with an independent external provider to deliver a full evaluation report at the conclusion of the community stage. This is expected to be available in July 2025.
