Hon Mark Mitchell: The National Emergency Management Agency is a departmental agency hosted by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). In my capacity as the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I am not the Responsible Minister for DPMC or the Vote Minister for Prime Minister and Cabinet, however, I am an Appropriation Minister within the Vote. In my capacity as the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I received the following document from officials in DPMC relating to baseline savings targets and baseline savings initiatives included in Budget 2024 in relation to Vote Prime Minister and Cabinet: Briefing: Vote Prime Minister and Cabinet Budget 2024 Submission Emergency Management and Recovery, 15 February 2024. I also refer the member to Prime Minister’s response to Written Parliamentary Question 63849 (2024). Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA and DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame. I am advised that Budget 24 material is available on the following website: Budget 2024 - 30 May 2024.
