63749 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Associate Minister of Health: Further to Reply 58007, what are the training and qualification opportunities available?

Hon Casey Costello: An example is the Ministry of Social Development's partnership with My Skill, the training arm of New Zealand Health Group, to develop a programme that will enable carers to get the recognition and certification for the skills they perform. This programme is free for all carers in receipt of financial assistance from Work and Income. The qualification is a Level 2 Health and Wellbeing certificate. It is completed online and in the person’s own time.
