63446 (2024). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 23 September 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio.
I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 23-27 September 2024 (inclusive):
• Briefing – NEMA’s Review of Reviews - 2023 North Island Severe Weather Events, 23 September 2024
• Aide-Memoire – New Zealand's relief arrangements and resources, 26 September 2024
• Aide-Memoire – Cyclone Recovery Unit Fortnightly Report, 27 September 2024.
In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister, I received the following document on 26 September 2024: North Island Weather Events: Monthly Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, Infrastructure and Local Transport Projects.
I also received from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet one document within the specific time frame. It is not in the public interest to release the title at this time.
